What is TFT World Runes?

The World Runes is a prismatic TFT augment that gives you two random Region Emblems and challenges you to activate 4 unique Region traits early. After you keep 4 Region traits active for 4 player combats, you earn a powerful reward. The decision is time-sensitive: you usually have only a short planning window to figure out whether you can hit the requirement at level 5/6/7 without griefing your board. This solver focuses on the early objective: minimum team size to get 4 Region traits online, with clear, explainable solutions.

How it works

  1. 1) It reads Set 16 Region trait thresholds (the minimum breakpoint for each Region trait).
  2. 2) It searches teams up to a small size limit and assigns your two emblems (including allowing both emblems on the same unit).
  3. 3) This TFT World Runes Solver returns the minimum team size solutions, sorted by total cost and the number of 1-2 cost units, with stable ordering to avoid "result jitter".

Why minimum team size matters

In World Runes, reaching 4 Region traits at level 5 or 6 often means you complete the requirement earlier and stabilize before the lobby spikes. A 7-unit solution is still playable, but it usually delays your power and increases your roll-down pressure. A 6-unit solution can free gold for tempo, and a rare 5-unit solution can let you pivot flexibly while still qualifying for the reward window. That's why this tool ranks solutions by the minimum number of units first, then by the cheapest way to get there.

FAQ

Why does this solver sometimes suggest a 6-unit solution?

Some champions can carry both Region Emblems at the same time, which makes one unit count toward multiple Region traits. When that happens, the solver can hit 4 activated Region traits with fewer total units. The solution cards show emblem assignments per unit so you can see exactly where the reduction comes from.

Why are my results different from other websites?

Different sites may use different assumptions (for example, whether redundant emblems are allowed, or how tie-breakers are applied). This solver follows a consistent rule set and sorts results by minimum team size first, then by total cost, then by the number of 1-2 cost units.

Is this solution guaranteed to happen in my game?

No. Results are the smallest theoretical teams. Actual execution depends on shop RNG and game state.

Do I need to activate exactly 4 Region traits?

No. The requirement is at least 4 unique Region traits active. If your board naturally activates more, it still qualifies. The solver's goal is to find the smallest team size that reaches the threshold, not to restrict you to exactly four.

What happens if I can't hit 4 Regions before the timer ends?

If you fail to keep 4 Region traits active for 4 player combats, you forfeit the reward entirely. The World Runes augment will no longer provide any bonus after the window closes. That's why planning your minimum team early is critical, and this solver helps you decide within seconds whether your emblem combination is achievable at your current level.

Can both Region Emblems go on the same unit?

Yes. The solver considers placing both emblems on a single champion if it results in a smaller team. This is especially useful when one unit can "carry" two region traits that would otherwise require separate champions. The solution cards show exactly which unit holds each emblem.
